PROFITIS ILIAS

Mount Profitis Ilias is one of the most impressive peaks of Methana and the ideal choice for a unique experience before sunrise.

The route, although short, has moderate difficulty and offers a dynamic introduction to the wild volcanic landscape of the area.

At the summit we are greeted by the picturesque chapel of Profitis Ilias and a panoramic view that stretches in every direction: from the Epidaurus gulf to the Saronic and the peaks of Parnon at the southeastern edge of the Peloponnese.

Our goal is to arrive before dawn and to enjoy the first colors of the day spreading over the sea.

During the hike, we will share stories about geology, folklore and human presence in the area, bringing the landscape that we admire today to life.
